Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Hadou Kasbah – Ouarzazate – Agdez – Zagora

Kickstart your adventure bright and early from your Marrakech accommodation or the airport. As we journey through the stunning Tizi N-tichka pass, reaching heights of 2260 meters, soak in the beauty of various Berber villages and make stops for panoramic views. Our first highlight is the renowned Ait Ben Hadou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site immortalized in Hollywood classics like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia, as well as TV sensations like Game of Thrones. After a delectable lunch at either Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou or in Ouarzazate, our route meanders through the Anti Atlas Mountains, picturesque Berber Villages, and the enchanting Draa Valley, home to Morocco’s largest palm plantation and longest river. Arriving in Zagora, immerse yourself in a camel trek across the Zagora Desert, marveling at the sunset before settling into your Sahara desert camp. Here, relish in a traditional Moroccan dinner complemented by rhythmic drumming under a canopy of twinkling stars.

Day 2: Zagora to Marrakech

Rise early to catch the breathtaking sunrise with a camel ride over the dunes, followed by a hearty Moroccan breakfast. We then journey to Ouarzazate, known as “The Gate Of The Desert,” where you’ll explore the historic Taourirt Kasbah and visit studios that have hosted famous movie productions. Our return trip to Marrakech takes us through the majestic Tizi Ntichka pass and the towering High Atlas mountains. Your memorable 2-day Zagora desert experience concludes with a drop-off at your Marrakech accommodation or the airport, leaving you with cherished memories of an unforgettable journey.
