Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes [262 km]

After breakfast, we depart Chefchaouen for Meknes, where a guided tour awaits us. Passing through scenic hills, our first stop is at Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its remarkably preserved Roman ruins. Our journey begins with a visit to Ifrane, often likened to the “Switzerland of Morocco.”

Continuing through the cedar forest, we encounter diverse wildlife, including the endangered Barbary macaques. Passing through the rugged Ziz Gorges and the lush Tafilalt oasis, we reach Errachidia for a lunch break, where we experience traditional Amazigh hospitality. Continuing onward via Erfoud, we enjoy panoramic views of the Aziz Valley before indulging in a camel ride to witness the desert sunset. We then proceed to our desert camp for an enchanting evening of Berber music, a magical dinner under the stars, and a comfortable night’s stay immersed in desert tranquility.

Day 6: Explore Merzouga Region [80 km]
