Day 2: Marrakech Sightseeing with a Local Guide

Today offers an optional private guided tour of Marrakech with an official guide. Visit Medina’s famous Koutoubia Mosque and its vibrant souks. Explore more by stopping at the Ali Ben Youssef Qur’anic School, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens. Spend the night in a charming riad inside the Medina.

Day 3: Marrakech » Essaouira [191 km]

Leave Marrakech behind and head towards the sleepy seaside town of Essaouira. During your trip, you will pass argan oil cooperatives, a testament to the region’s unique products. This UNESCO World Heritage site features a windswept fishing port, sprawling beaches, and an ancient walled city intricately set within cliffs. The city’s charm has made it a favorite with visitors since time immemorial. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere as you explore the bustling Old Town, take a leisurely walk along the picturesque ramparts or the beach, and perhaps venture down to the harbor to witness the day’s fresh catch. Day 4: Essaouira » El Jadida » Casablanca » Rabat [457 km]

After breakfast, drive to Rabat and continue your journey along the scenic Atlantic coast. New Traverse, a former port controlled by the Portuguese, is now designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stop in Casablanca to experience Mohammed V Square and the Hassan II Grand Mosque. Explore Rabat, the imperial city, and discover the Mechouar (Royal Palace Walls), the magnificent Mohammed V Mausoleum, the historic Hassan Tower, and the Kasbah of the Udayas with its ocean views and craft fairs. Day 5: Rabat » Tangier » Chefchaouen [254 km]

Head towards the charming mountain village of Chefchaouen from Tangier, a journey that leads you through the green valleys of the Rif Mountains. Known as Chefchaouen or Chaouen in the Berber language, this village is known for its distinctive blue-colored houses. It is a favorite destination for both tourists and locals, especially during the hot summer season. Get into the allure of Chefchaouen, its labyrinthine streets and narrow lanes hosting a plethora of busy souks. Here, you can enjoy local delicacies and browse artisanal treasures such as intricate embroidery, fine woolen goods, and unique goat cheese – all characteristic of this northern region of Morocco. Day 6: Chefchaouen » Volubilis » Meknes » Fes [263 km]

After breakfast at your riad, our Morocco trip begins with a scenic drive from the Rif Mountains to the Berber Roman ruins at Volubilis, an open-air museum. Although not as grand as the Mediterranean sites, Volubilis offers an insight into the history of Morocco. We continue to Meknes, the fourth imperial city, for lunch and an exploration of the ancient city walls. We will take a look at Bab El Mansour and visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After that, we head to Fes, where you will spend the night, immersing yourself in its rich historical atmosphere at the beautiful riad in Fes.

Day 7: Fes Sightseeing with a Local Guide

After a delicious breakfast at your riad, you will explore Fes, the ancient imperial city, accompanied by a local guide. Once considered the Mecca of the West and the Athens of Africa, it is the second largest city in Morocco, with a population of around one million. Fes consists of three distinct sections: Fes el-Bali, the oldest part surrounded by a massive wall, with more than 9,000 narrow streets and alleys; New Fes or New Fes, which includes the Mellah, the Jewish Quarter; and Ville Nouvelle, the newest part, created during the French occupation. Fes El-Bali is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, It houses the largest city in the world and houses the oldest university, Al-Qarawiyyin, which was founded in 859 AD and is still operating today.

Day 8 : Fes » Ifrane » Azrou » Ziz Valley » Merzouga Desert [477 km]

A trip to the Bedouin Berber Wire House provides the opportunity to purchase local handicrafts at bargain prices. Later in the day, your experienced camel guide will lead you on a camel trek to venture into the murky sandy sea of ​​Erg Chebbi. Spend the night under the stars, or in a traditional Berber Bedouin tent if you prefer. Dinner is served in the tent, and you will spend the night in the tranquility of the desert. Enjoy the magic of the desert with dinner, bed and breakfast.

Day 10: Merzouga Desert » Todra Gorges » Dades Gorges [271 km]

Wake up early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise from the top of the sand dunes in the Sahara Desert before enjoying a delicious breakfast. The journey continues as you ride your camel back to the hotel. Head to Tinerhir, passing through Erfoud and Tinjdad, with a lunch break on the way. The afternoon will take you to the Todra Gorge via Tinerhir, where you will stop for pictures and stunning views. Explore the magnificent Todra Gorges on foot. Next, head to Boumalne Dades, stopping for a panoramic view of the stunning landscape of the Dades Gorge.

Day 11: Dades Gorges » Ouarzazate » Ait Ben Haddou » Marrakech [330 km]

After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Ouarzazate via Skoura. We will pause for a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt and another photo opportunity near Atlas Film Studios. After that, we will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and enjoy lunch in one of the local restaurants in the village. In the afternoon, our trip will start to Marrakesh, passing through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi Ntishka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260 meters.

Day 12: Marrakech Airport
