Tour Plan:
Day 1: Marrakech » Tizi n’Tichka » Ouarzazate » Dades Gorges [335 km]
Your 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert begins with a pick-up from your hotel at 9:00 a.m. We will take a journey towards the Dades Valley, passing through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass in the High Atlas mountains, which stands at an impressive 2260 meters above sea level. Along the way, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the diverse and colorful landscapes.
Our route will take us through authentic Berber villages, allowing you to immerse yourself in the local culture. In Ouarzazate, we will visit the Taourirt Kasbah, a stunning example of a ksar, and the renowned Oscar film studios. Lunch will be enjoyed in this charming town.
Next, we will explore the Rose Valley, passing through the vast Skoura palm grove, where you can admire the picturesque scenery and numerous kasbahs that dot the landscape. The Rose Valley is famous for cultivating damascene roses, which are used to produce valuable rosewater. Each year in May, the Rose Festival celebrates this cultural tradition.
Our journey continues to the Dades Valley, where you will spend the night in a hotel/riad with a picturesque view overlooking the Dades Valley.

Day 2: Dades Gorges » Todra Gorges » Merzouga Desert [272 km]
On the next day of our 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert, we will begin the day with breakfast at the hotel/riad. Our destination is the Todra Gorge, and as we drive, you will notice Berber villages scattered along the route. We will pass through Tinghir and pause to appreciate the beauty of the Todra Valley, abundant with palm trees, before reaching the Todra Gorges.
These gorges are climbing enthusiast’s dream and are among the most popular rock climbing destinations in Morocco. You will have the opportunity to take a short walk through the high canyons, which feature striking grey and pink hues and can reach heights of up to 300 meters.
Afterward, we will head to Tinjdad and Touroug for a well-deserved lunch. Our journey continues to Erfoud, where you will begin to feel the presence of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. From there, we will make our way to Merzouga and the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes.
Upon arrival, you will take a camel ride lasting approximately two hours, allowing you to reach your luxury desert camp. During the trek, we will take a break amid the dunes to witness the breathtaking sunset, try sandboarding if you are interested, capture remarkable photographs, and savor the desert’s enchanting scenery.
As the sun sets, we will arrive at the camp, where you will be greeted with a refreshing glass of mint tea. The evening continues with a delectable dinner, a cozy campfire, a lively music party, and an overnight stay at a luxury desert camp in the middle of a fantastic desert.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert » Alnif » Agdz » Ouarzazate [364 km]
On the following day of your 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert, you will have the opportunity to witness the mesmerizing desert sunrise. Afterward, you can enjoy breakfast and refresh with a shower at the camp. You then have the choice to ride camels or transfer back by 4WD to the point where your journey began, where you’ll reunite with your driver.
Our next destination is Ouarzazate, and we will make our way there, passing through Rissani. If we happen to be here on one of the market days (Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday), we will explore the bustling weekly traditional market in Rissani.
Continuing through the arid pre-desert landscape, you will spot acacia trees, which are typical of this region. As we approach the Draa Valley, we’ll make several stops to admire the stunning views of the river that lends its name to this valley, known as the longest river in Morocco.
Then we will proceed towards Ouarzazate, crossing the Anti-Atlas mountains. In Ouarzazate, you will have some free time for lunch in the city. In the late afternoon or evening, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel/riad.

Day 4: Ouarzazate » Ait Ben Hadou » Tizi n’Tichka » Marrakech [194km]
After a delicious breakfast at your hotel/riad, we will set off on an enriching journey to explore the renowned ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou. This magnificent Kasbah has been honored as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986 and has served as the backdrop for numerous iconic films, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara, featuring the talented Penélope Cruz.
After our captivating visit to this cinematic wonder, we will continue our expedition, traversing the picturesque Tizi n’Tichka pass. Along the way, we will pause to relish the awe-inspiring vistas of the Atlas Mountains and the charming Berber villages that dot the landscape. Our lunch will be a delightful affair at a local restaurant nestled amidst the Atlas Mountains.
Subsequently, we will resume our journey and make periodic stops to fully immerse ourselves in the breathtaking scenery. As the day unfolds, we will steadily make our way back to Marrakech, arriving in the afternoon, thereby concluding our fantastic 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert.
