Detailed Itinerary
Day trip to Imlil In the morning we will pick you up at your hotel in Marrakech in a comfortable private and air-conditioned vehicle and, set off on our journey towards Imlil. It is a beautiful drive about 56 miles (90 km) taking you through a fascinating landscape. The path is twisted and captivating with the Atlas Mountain valleys providing a powerful backdrop. The views on the foothills of the mountains are a sight to behold. It is a great spot for photography. Continuing on our way, we will pass several small Berber villages. We will be making quick stops at some of these places en route to Imlil.
Upon arriving in the mountain village of Imlil, we will start exploring the area including the surrounding valleys. From the village, you get an even better view of the High Atlas Mountains. The location also offers a panoramic view of Mount Toubkal, which is the highest peak in North Africa, with its height of 13,671 ft (4,167 m). Nearby is Toubkal National Park, covering 147 sq miles (380 km2), which we will pay a visit. You will also have a great time using the hiking options in the High Atlas Mountains.
In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to enjoy a desert mule ride to Berber villages, especially Around. In this village, you will get acquainted with the amazing culture of the Berber tribes. Then we return to Imlil and if we have the time, we will also go visit the spectacular Ait Mizane Valley. Late in the day we will turn back and follow the scenic road back to Marrakesh. Our driver will drop you off at your accommodations, marking the end of a fantastic single-day Marrakech-Imlil tour.
