Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Upon arrival at Marrakech airport, and you’ll be greeted by our driver who will transfer you to your hotel/riad. Take some time to relax before we start with a short to sightseeing tour of Marrakech to acquaint yourself with the city.

Day 2: Explore Marrakech with a Guided Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day exploring the rich history of Marrakech, known as the “Pearl of the South.” We’ll spend the morning visiting the city’s iconic landmarks, also including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Manara Pavilion, the tombs of the Saadian sultans, the Bahia Palace, El Badii Palace, and the Majorelle Gardens. Following lunch, we’ll delve into the vibrant atmosphere of the colorful market and the bustling Jemaa El Fna square, where you’ll encounter snake charmers, healers, and merchants selling exotic spices.

Day 3: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate [193 km]

We’ll pick you up from your hotel/riad at 8:30, and traverse the majestic Atlas Mountains via the scenic TIZI-N-TICHKA pass, making a stop at the picturesque village of Ait Benhaddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continuing on, we’ll visit the expansive African film studios in Ouarzazate, known for filming blockbusters like The Mummy and Gladiator. After lunch, our route takes us through the Dades Gorges, where we’ll spend the night in a hotel with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Dades Valley – Torda Gorge – Erg Chebbi Dunes [367 km]

After breakfast we will depart from Ouarzazate and journey towards Merzouga, passing through the captivating Dades Valley to admire its striking rock formations and lush greenery. Stop for panoramic views near Tinghir and explore the impressive Todra Gorge with its towering cliffs. Continue through Rissani, renowned for its fossil factories, before arriving in Merzouga for an overnight stay amidst the enchanting Erg Chebbi dunes. Day 5: Explore Merzouga Desert with a 4×4 Excursion [80 km]

After breakfast, we’ll meet our 4×4 driver for an exhilarating desert excursion, including a visit with Nomads and a Gnaoua performance in Khamilia. In the afternoon, we’ll take a camel ride to the desert camp, where we’ll enjoy comfortable accommodations, traditional Moroccan dinner, and entertainment under the stars.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes [468 km]

This morning you will enjoy the sunrise over the dunes. Next, visit the local Souk in Rissani, where you can buy souvenirs and explore the market on your own. You can also eat Medfouna here, one of the popular local dishes. From here we continue through the extensive Ziz Valley that contains millions of palm trees along the way.

Then we traveled through the Ziz River and then crossed the mountains of the Middle Atlas to the city of Ifrane. We will pass through Midelt and Azrou to enjoy the Atlas forest, known for its friendly monkey troops.

Our next stop will be Ifrane. Due to its exceptionally pristine surroundings, this small town is often known as the Switzerland of Morocco. Then we will arrive in the city of Fes at night and take you directly to your hotel or riad.

Day 7: Explore Fes with a Local guide

Today, we’ll go on a private guided tour of Fes, immersing ourselves in the city’s medieval charm. Explore the labyrinthine streets of the ancient Medina, visit historical landmarks like the Bu Inanya mosque and madrassas, and discover the rich artisanal heritage of the handicraft quarters.

Day 8: Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen [252 km]

After delicious breakfast in Fes at your riad/hotel, we will take a journey to Meknes for a brief tour of this historic city, known for its impressive gates, gardens, and intricate architecture reflecting its imperial past. Continuing our adventure, we visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can explore well-preserved mosaics and grand structures from antiquity.
