Day 1: Arrival to Marrakech – Welcome to Morocco

Upon arrival at Marrakech airport, you’ll be greeted by our driver who will transfer you to your hotel/Riad. Take some time to unwind and settle in before taking a brief sightseeing tour of Marrakech to acquaint yourself with the city.

Day 2: Explore Marrakech with a local guide

After breakfast at the hotel, dedicate the entire day to exploring Marrakech, known as the Pearl of the South. As one of the former capitals of Morocco under three dynasties, Marrakech boasts a wealth of museums and architectural marvels, each a testament to artistic excellence. Spend the morning immersing yourself in these landmarks, including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Manara Pavilion nestled amidst olive groves, the Saadian Tombs showcasing exquisite palace architecture, the grand Bahia Palace, the ruins of El Badii Palace, and the serene Majorelle Gardens. Following lunch, delve into the vibrant heart of the city at the renowned Jemaa El Fna square, a bustling open-air theater where snake charmers, healers, sorcerers, and merchants of fruits and spices create a lively spectacle.

Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley [324 km]

The journey commences from Marrakech, traversing the Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n-Tichka pass to reach the renowned Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a picturesque village designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continuing onwards, we proceed to Ouarzazate, home to one of Africa’s largest film studios where iconic movies like The Mummy, Gladiator, and Kingdom of Heaven were filmed. After lunch in Ouarzazate, the route leads us through the scenic Dades Gorges, where the night will be spent in a hotel with dinner and breakfast included. En route, we will pass through the Valley of Roses in Kelaa M’Gouna, famous for its annual roses festival.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Todra Valley – Merzouga Desert [249 km]

We will journey towards Merzouga, stopping first for a panoramic photo opportunity near the charming town of Tinghir, nestled within a vast palm oasis. Next, we will explore the famous Todra Gorge, taking a walk along its impressive canyon walls and by the river. Our route then leads us to Rissani, known for its fossil factory showcasing the region’s rich fossil deposits. Finally, we will continue on to Merzouga, where we will spend the night.

Day 5: Explore Merzouga Desert [80 km]

In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we’ll meet our 4×4 driver for an excursion into the dunes, where we’ll visit a Nomad family to experience their desert lifestyle and enjoy traditional tea. Later, we’ll head to Khamlia to witness a captivating Gnaoua music performance. In the afternoon, we’ll take a camel rides to our desert camp near the white sand dunes of Merzouga. The camp offers comfortable accommodations with individual showers and toilets. In the evening, we’ll savor a Moroccan dinner, join in drumming around the campfire, and delight in Berber songs under the starlit desert sky. Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes [468 km]

We’ll wake with the first light to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the tranquil sand dunes, an unforgettable moment in Morocco. Following breakfast, we’ll begin our journey towards Fes, a scenic drive lasting about 7 hours with stops to enjoy the changing landscapes. En route, we’ll pass through the stunning Todra Gorge and the expansive Ziz River Valley, one of Africa’s longest. After a lunch break in Midelt, our route continues through Ifrane, where we’ll encounter majestic Atlas cedars and have the opportunity to feed friendly wild monkeys in Azrou. Ifrane, often called (Moroccan Switzerland), delights with its European-inspired architecture, lakeside parks, and a winter ski resort. Finally, after approximately an hour’s drive, we’ll arrive in Fes for our overnight stay.

Day 7: Explore Fes with a local guide

We’ll immerse ourselves in the cultural and religious capital of Morocco, Fes, where you’ll experience the enchanting ambiance of a medieval oriental city. Wander through the labyrinthine streets of the ancient Medina and discover a wealth of historical and architectural treasures from the Merinid and Alaouite dynasties. Marvel at Moorish masterpieces like the Bou Inania Madrasa and Nejjarine Square with its ornate fountain. Explore vibrant handicraft quarters where artisans practice age old techniques in leatherwork and pottery, preserving traditions passed down through generations. Our journey through Fes will also include a visit to the Jewish quarter, highlighting the enduring coexistence of Muslim and Jewish communities in this historic city.

Day 8: Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen [263 km]

After breakfast and hotel check out, we’ll travel to Meknes, one of Morocco imperial cities. Explore the city briefly before continuing to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site just a 50-minute drive away. Discover the extensive ruins of Volubilis, dating back to the 3rd century BC, showcasing well-preserved Roman architecture, including grand administrative buildings, palaces, and intricate mosaics set against picturesque green fields. Following this historical immersion, we’ll journey to Chefchaouen, renowned for its photogenic blue washed buildings, where you’ll have free time to explore this charming town at your leisure. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 9: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca [351 km]

Today, we depart from Chefchaouen and journey towards Morocco capital, Rabat, one of the country’s imperial cities. We will explore key attractions such as the Kasbah of the Udayas, the historic medina, the picturesque Chellah necropolis, and the iconic Hassan Tower. Later, we continue our journey to Casablanca, where we will visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture. Afterward, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Casablanca, with free time to explore the city on your own. Overnight stay in Casablanca.

Day 10: Transfer to the Airport

On the final day of our unforgettable 10-day tour from Marrakech, we ensure you’ve experienced the best of Moroccan culture and sights.
