The journey starts with a cultural stop in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, known for its historical landmarks, coastal views, and relaxed atmosphere.

In Rabat, you will visit the Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret that represents Morocco historical architecture, along with the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, where you can see detailed Moroccan craftsmanship in marble and traditional design. You will also pass by the Royal Palace area before continuing your drive through the Moroccan countryside. During the tour, you will visit the Al Quaraouiyine University, recognized as one of the oldest universities in the world, along with the Bou Inania Madrasa, famous for its detailed Islamic architecture. You will also explore the Chouara Tanneries, where leather is still produced using traditional methods, and the Najjarine Fountain, a fine example of Moroccan craftsmanship.

Later, continue outside the medina to see the Royal Palace gates and the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah). The day ends with a panoramic view over the old city before returning to your riad for the night.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert [457 km]
